Columbia's Coffee Cafes: Piecewise Coffee Co.

Day 3: Piecewise Coffee Co.

Today, I tried Piecewise Coffee Co. located at 2001 State St in Cayce, SC.

Coffee Selection

I chose to try a 16 oz Creme Brulee Latte described as "caramel and vanilla syrup" with standard whole milk. This came out to be a total of $6.33.

Ratings

Taste- 8/10

This latte was a great combination of sweet mixed with a good hit of espresso. The espresso was really delicious, and overall it seemed like a well-made coffee just the way I like it. It was definitely sweet, but not too sweet, which is just the way I like it :)

Atmosphere- 7/10

Piecewise had a very enjoyable atmosphere! It was on the smaller side indoors, but they had a wonderful outdoor shaded area where I sat. It has a rustic farmhouse feel, and was very on trend with the "cute" coffee shops. Everything was clean and well-kept!

Affordability- 6.5/10

$6.33 is a pretty standard price for a decent size latte, so I do not have too many complaints, since this one was worth the price in my opinion. However, as a broke college student, it is not something I can afford everyday.

Overall- 7.2/10

I would say this coffee shop is worth a trip if you are looking for a cute local place in Columbia! It hit all my main marks and hopefully, it would will hit yours too!
