Columbia's Coffee Cafes: Azalea Coffee Bar
Day 10: Azalea Coffee Bar
Today, I tried Azalea Coffee Bar located at 2700 Devine St.
Coffee Selection
I chose to try a Large Iced "Justice" Latte that comes with caramel sauce and vanilla syrup with standard whole milk. This came out to be a total of $6.60.
Ratings
Taste- 8/10
This latte was very delicious and had an enjoyable coffee flavor. I could taste the vanilla and caramel, which was a delight. There was maybe a little too much milk for my liking, but the flavors truly made up for it. It was sweet, but not overpowering.
Atmosphere- 5/10
This is an adorable little shop on the inside with cute flower decor and a cute little seating area. There is no outdoor seating, and limited indoor seating so it probably wouldn't be my top choice of place to study, but it is tastefully decorated and curated by women for women. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the workers were so nice!
Affordability- 6/10
$6.60 is about average for a large latte these days. I like that this one incorporated two different flavors, and was not too expensive for that. It was an average size for a large, but not huge. As a broke college student, I am not sure I will consistently visit.
Overall- 6.3/10
Azalea Coffee Bar is a good coffee shop, but only slightly above average. It was a good coffee if I was in the area, but I don't think I would go out of my way to get it.
