Columbia's Coffee Cafes: Starbucks

Day 11: Starbucks

Today, I tried Starbucks located at 650 Lincoln St. I decided to do this to give an overall look at the local places in Columbia versus a chain coffee shop.

Coffee Selection

I chose to try a Grande iced caramel macchiato with standard whole milk. This came out to be a total of $6.65.

Ratings

Taste- 7.5/10

I always enjoy a good caramel macchiato from Starbucks. It has the perfect ratio of coffee to milk and I enjoy the caramel sauce on the side. However, I do wish that this drink came pre-mixed (or it was easier to mix) as I feel like every sip is different. I know it can not be done due to the nature of the drink though. I enjoy the great variety of sweet to bitter.

Atmosphere- 5/10

This is a cute shop on the inside, but unfortunately, there is very limited seating. However, there is a decent amount of seating in the outdoor area. Every Starbucks is different though, so it is hard to judge fully on the atmosphere portion. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the workers were so nice!

Affordability- 5.5/10

$6.65 is about average, but this drink is on the smaller side so I am taking off a few points for that. This being said, it likely is the most convenient coffee shop for me, and they offer such a wide variety of options that sometimes it is hard to turn down.

Overall- 6/10

I always do enjoy a Starbucks drink, and know that I will likely always like whatever they craft together. The convenience is unbeatable, but compared to some of the other places I have listed, that might be their biggest pro.
