Day 8: Clutch Coffee Bar

Today, I tried Clutch Coffee Bar located at 4716 Devine Street.

Coffee Selection

I chose to try a medium Caramel macchiato described as caramel and vanilla latte with standard whole milk as an iced version. This came out to be a total of $5.94.

Ratings

Taste- 7/10

This latte was on the sweeter side and a little milky, but definitely still retained the espresso and coffee flavor. It was very creamy and had both great caramel and vanilla flavor. Next time, I think I might add an espresso shot into it just to give it a little more coffee flavor. I think for a sweet coffee though, I might just choose this one over 7Brew. 

Atmosphere- N/A/10

Unfortunately, Clutch Coffee does not offer any sort of seating and is a strictly drive-thru location, so therefore I do not feel that it is appropriate to rank the atmosphere. However, the customer service was very nice, and they completed my order quickly and efficiently.

Affordability- 8/10

$5.94 is a decent price for a latte in this market, and the medium size was at least as big as a Starbucks Venti it felt. I really do not think you can get this big of a latte anywhere else for this price, and it be this delicious.

Overall- 7.5/10

This is an awesome South Carolina quick drive-through spot for coffee. I might say I like it even better than 7 Brew. It is a bit far from campus, but worth the drive if you want to try something new.
