Columbia's Coffee Cafes: Bitty & Beau's Coffee
Day 7: Bitty & Beau's Coffee
Today, I tried Bitty & Beau's Coffee located at 1001 Gervais Street.
Coffee Selection
I chose to try a classic Iced Caramel Latte with no whipped cream and standard whole milk. This came out to be a total of $6.88.
Ratings
Taste- 5/10
This latte was on the bitter side and didn't have a ton of flavor. It did have a good milk-to-coffee ratio, and the espresso flavor was good. It was not sweet enough for my liking; however, I think next time I will try a vanilla latte because sometimes caramel syrups can differ in their sweetness.
Atmosphere- 9/10
Bitty & Beau's is ADORABLE, and has an awesome atmosphere. It has plenty of couches and tables, and the entire vibe is really cute. They do not have any outdoor seating, but it is not really needed. They have a great story about hiring people with disabilities, so the story and message behind the place is very sweet. Everything was clean and well-kept!
Affordability- 6/10
$6.88 (pre-tip) is on the pricier side for the latte, especially because it wasn't the best latte ever. However, the story behind the coffee shop was really sweet and all goes to a good cause.
Overall- 6.7/10
I would say this is a sweet cause to donate too if you want a cute shop to go sit and visit. The coffee may not be awesome, but the story behind it is precious.
