Columbia's Coffee Cafes: Immaculate Consumption
Day 2: Immaculate Consumption
Today, I tried Immaculate Consumption located at 933 Main Street.
Coffee Selection
I chose to try a classic Iced Caramel Latte with no whipped cream and standard whole milk. This came out to be a total of $5.28.
Ratings
Taste- 4.5/10
This latte was also on the bitter side and had a very good milk-to-coffee ratio, and the wonderful espresso flavor really came through. However, the syrup did not mix with the coffee, and all sunk to the bottom. It proved to be hard to get a good mixture of coffee and syrup, and I continually got either way too much or way too little syrup.
Atmosphere- 7/10
Immaculate Consumption has very cute and homey feel to it! There is a mix of booths and longer picnic style tables, and they also have a quiet and quaint room downstairs. There are a few outside tables, but with construction going on, its not a very inviting environment. Everything was clean and well-kept!
Affordability- 8/10
$5.28 (pre-tip) is an awesome price for a latte, so I wish I enjoyed this one more. However, I think I might need to try a different flavor other than caramel to see if all of the syrups have this effect.
Overall- 6.5/10
I would say this coffee shop is a nice vibe to sit to work at, but not the place to get a flavored latte.
